First try too, unlike your daughter's friend who applied three years in a row before she got in. Getting accepted to university at 22 tasted oh so much sweeter because she said that. I could honestly thank her for it. I had never felt so thrilled, so accomplished, so rewarded for my efforts in life. And a good chunk of that euphoria was petty spite.
